Runners that complete three or more of the races in the Finger Lakes Trailrunners Circuit are eligible for ranking in the annual Finger Lakes Trail Circuit Rankings. Typically most of the FLRC-sponsored trail races count toward the year-end standings; see the race calendar and the accompanying entry forms to see which races count this year. The nominal list is included below.
The Stonehead rankings include all qualifying races that each runner ran in the year. The Pebblehead rankings are based only on a runner's top three races. In each case, a runner's "score" for a race is determined by dividing the winning time by his/her time, then multiplying by 100. The sum over several races is then the runner's score for the season.
New for 2001, the Pebblehead rankings have been lengthened to list the top 100 runners, which includes runners that competed in as few as 2 of the 11 races on the circuit this year.
