The Ithaca Twilight 5K Footrace Wednesday, June 20, 2007…..7:00 PM starting at: Ithaca High School Track

START / FINISH: Ithaca High School Track. Ithaca, NY

COURSE: This race begins and ends on the Ithaca High School Track, 1401 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca, NY. The rest of the course is fast and flat, all on asphalt roadways. Runners will run one loop in Stewart Park at the foot of beautiful Cayuga Lake. There will be one water station near the entrance of Stewart Park which runners may use as they enter and exit the Park. There will be lead/lag bicylists on the course. Course is USATF certified.

THE COURSE CROSSES A RAILROAD TRACK. IF THE BARRIER IS DOWN YOU MUST STOP. IF YOU TRY TO CROSS THE TRACK AT THIS TIME YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED (IF YOU MAKE IT). WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE TRAIN SCHEDULE.

ENTRY FEE: Preregistration: : $10, must be postmarked by Friday, June 15, 2007; Race day registration: $15 until 6:45 p.m. race day. FLRC members may deduct $2 from the entry fees. Add $9 for the optional T-shirt (limited quantity). Students 18 and under; entry fee is $5 pre-registration (half the standard fee), $10 race day.

FACILITIES: Runners may change and shower in the Ithaca High School locker rooms. Bring your own towel and lock. Runners are encouraged, however, to come dressed to run.

REFRESHMENTS: Free refreshments to all runners before/after the race.

The race director reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason. No headsets, baby strollers, wheelchairs, or dogs, cats, or basically anything with 4 legs, are allowed on the course!!! Those observing poor manners towards motorists, exhibiting reckless behavior, or not obeying the traffic marshals will be disqualified.

AWARDS: Modest awards as follows: Male & female open division (39 & below), Male & Female masters (40 & over). Age group awards for Males & Females to the top runner in each age division: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.
