The Ithaca Twilight 5K Run Wednesday, June 16, 2010..7:00 PM

START / FINISH: Ithaca High School Track, 1401 N. Cayuga St., Ithaca, NY 14850

COURSE: This race begins with 1.5 laps clockwise on the Ithaca High School Track and ends with about 0.75 laps, counterclockwise. The rest of the course is fast and flat, all on asphalt roadways. Runners will run one loop in Stewart Park at the foot of beautiful Cayuga Lake. There will be one water station near the entrance of Stewart Park which runners may use as they enter and exit the Park. There will be lead/lag bicyclists on the course. Course is USATF certified.

THE COURSE CROSSES A RAILROAD TRACK. IF THE BARRIER IS DOWN YOU MUST STOP. IF YOU TRY TO CROSS THE TRACK AT THIS TIME YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED (IF YOU MAKE IT). WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE TRAIN SCHEDULE.

ENTRY FEE: Preregistration: $10, must be postmarked by Friday, June 4, 2010. FLRC members may deduct $2 from the preregistration fee. Race day registration: $15 for all adult runners, including FLRC members, until 6:45 p.m. race day. Add $20 for the optional technical fabric T-shirt with an original Twilight design (limited quantity). All persons 18 and under: entry fee is $5 pre-registration, $10 race day.

FACILITIES: Restrooms are available, but no changing facilities. Runners are encouraged to come dressed to run.

REFRESHMENTS: Free refreshments to all runners (and their kids) before/after the race.

No headsets will be allowed. No baby strollers, wheelchairs, or dogs, cats, (anything with wheels or 4 legs) allowed on the course!!! Those exhibiting poor manners towards motorists or other runners, reckless behavior, or not obeying the traffic marshals will be DQ’d. Note: $30 fee for any timing chips not returned.

AWARDS: Modest awards as follows: Male & female open division (39 & below), Male & Female masters (40 & over). Age group awards for Males & Females to the top runner in each age division: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.
