Welcome Tracy!
We have a volunteer! Tracy Allaman Atlas of Ithaca has stepped forward to accept the position of assistant newsletter editor. We welcome Tracy, and give her all freedom to do as she pleases with our layout and text content. She will fill the vacated running shoes of the retired Betsy Martens. I've asked Tracy to tell you a bit about herself in this issue. All submissions should be e-mailed to Tracy at tna2@cornell.edu, and to Diane at dysherrer@mymailstation.com.
Thanks, Diane . . . and I really am having fun!
As Diane mentioned, I am the new assistant newsletter editor, and first I would like to say thanks to the FLRC, for allowing me to assume an active role in the club, and thanks also to Diane, Betsy, and Tom, for helping with the transition this month. I do appreciate any feedback and suggestions about the layout and text content of the newsletter.
Now, my introduction. . . . It is with great enthusiasm that I return to the Ithaca running scene! A few years ago I ran for Cornell until I graduated and returned to my native Colorado in 1999, spending time in both Denver and on the Western Slope until the spring of 2002. I departed the unique Mesa Monument Striders to come back to Ithaca (love and marriage make you do crazy things) where I am now working for Cornell - that is, when I'm not running, skiing, or playing soccer. It has been truly wonderful to return to the "gorges" terrain of the Finger Lakes!
