Track Reminders
Thanks to Tim Ingall and crew, our Dec. 9th track meet was very successful. Next on deck is our Jan. 6 meet, which may or may not go on before you receive this newsletter. But note that our Feb. 10 track meet begins at 9 a.m., with a 5,000 meter race, then the 55, 1500, 400 and 2 x 800 Valentine's Day relay follow. We want registration finished prior to the beginning of each meet, so try to get to Barton Hall early, and process your paperwork. Our track skedule is once again in this edition.
Runners were treated to free massages at the December meet, courtesy of the Finger Lakes School of Massage. That's a good reason to show up whether you run track or not.
Email Track V.P. Tim Ingall at TimIngall@hotmail.com for details and to volunteer. And please refer to our FLRC Web site (winter track series) before coming to Ithaca, just in case we've had an unavoidable schedule change.
I'm enclosing the 2002 Syracuse Charger T & F meet schedule -- clip 'n save it for future reference. Track rats will appreciate the timing of our meets, because there appears to be no scheduling conflicts (both clubs are at the mercy of university whims). Your weekends can be filled with track and field competition, if you're so inclined.
Email Lennie Tucker at lennieruns@aol.com for SC track
