Empire State Winter Games Snowshoe Qualifiers

Just a reminder for anyone seeking to compete in the Nordic Sprints, 1,500 meters and 5K snowshoe races at the Lake Placid Winter Games, you must complete a two-day qualifying round. The closest to our region is Jan. 12-13 at Choconut Center Park in Union. Call Chuck Perlmutter at 729-3297 for details.

The Frozen Assets 5K Snowshoe Race in Honeoye, Jan. 12, is an ESG 5K qualifier. See the entry for that race on www.geocities.com/goutnow.

The past two FLRC newsletter issues have printed the complete snowshoe race calendar for NY and Western Mass. Please refer to those calendars for complete listings of snowshoe races and ESG qualifiers in NYS.
