Photo Quiz Answers
Answers to the photo quiz in this month's club
newsletter.
- Ed Hart, who is now close to 75, stopped running about 6
years ago.
- Tom Bugliosi, who was the dominant trail runner in this
area, until he committed suicide in 1991.
- Shelley Reynolds on the left and Janet Stein on the
right. Shelley developed knee problems after a number of ultra-marathons,
and switched to competitive bike riding about 7 years ago---she's still
doing very well at this. Janet developed a slight sciatica problem, then
moved from this area to Lake Placid NY. She has gotten herself into a
rut---hiking the highest 46 Adirondack peaks in every season of the year,
and then doing it over and over and over again!
- David "Dump Truck" Rossiter, who now lives in the
Netherlands, but returns each year to run a trail run or two, and of
course, still organizes the Triennial Relay every three years.
- The legendary Bob Congdon, who also puts on the Turkey Trot
on T-day.
- Jim Hartshorne, who not only founded the Finger Lakes
Runners Club, but also founded the Finger Lakes Cycling Club.
- Gary Burdick, who after losing his service manager job at
Jim May Pontiac in Cortland (after it was sold to Royal Motors), now
works at Pep Boys in Syracuse, takes night courses to get his teaching
credentials, and substitute teaches (leaving not much time for running).
