Nom de Zoom
I just ran my new favorite CNY race - the St. Patty's church St. Patty's day 4 miler in Binghamton. It's an awesomely fast course if you are at all in shape (which I am not, so I ran 25:37). After the race they had chocolate donuts and free beer!! There is nothing more perfect than running a 4 mile race and then getting free donuts and beer!! What could be better - an Olympic medal or something? No way - as if!! WOW!!
Since I was sort of embarrassed at how slow I was planning on running (28 something), I entered this race as "Seamus Bisogni" the famous local Eyetalian/Eyerish road runner of dubious talent but much dedication. Note - if the results are online someplace, the volunteers messed up and entered me as "Scarus Bisogni" which if you say it out loud is actually better. I performed way better than Seamus had any reason to expect and ran splits of 6:06, 12:34, 19:14 and 25:37. Since I was completely expecting to be above 26:00, I was pleased. What a great race!
