Upstate NY XC Series Hits Ithaca

The final XC race on the 2001 Upstate NY XC Series will be held at the Cornell Golf Course (technically, the Robert Trent Jones GC), Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. Even if you haven't raced in any series events, you are welcome to try this one. The distance is 4 miles, and includes the perky "Death Gulch" segment.

It will be Championship Day for the series, and a post-race awards dinner will be held at Moakley House (on site) for the cost of $10 per person.

The entry fee for the Ithaca race is $8, and this has nothing to do with FLRC. Pete Glavin and the GVH crew are in charge of the series' races. For information, go to the GVH Web site at www.gvh.net, or contact one of the local High Noon guys, and they'll have all the answers.
