Summer Track Opps
The Syracuse Chargers, Triple Cities and GVH all have announced their summer track series schedules. One time only, we'll run the Chargers line-up; I'll give you the lowdown on TCRC and GVH. Clip it and save it, just in case you're inclined to sprint, jump or throw something this summer. Anyone bound for the Empire State Games, should take advantage of the fun. Syracuse Chargers: FREE!

TCRC: They host a Wednesday night series, every Wednesday at Maine-Endwell HS, 6 p.m. Sign in at 5:30 p.m.; a one-time $3 fee will be charged for insurance purposes.
This series runs from May 2 to the end of August, and includes special nights
such as the Red Dress Run (June 20) and the Marshmallow Man/Woman Track Test
(July). Track events include: one mile, 800, 400, 3,000. For info; email

GVH: Although it's called the River Road Running Club 2001 Rochester Summer Track & Field Series, this is a project of GVH. It's every Tuesday eve; at R.I.T. in June and at R-H Sperry HS in July. All meets begin at 6 p.m., and are sanctioned by USATF. Events vary week to week. The series runs from June 5-July 24. The fees are $5 for adults and $3 for boys and girls under 18.
