Survive This!

FLRC trail runners (or anyone who majored in PE at Cortland State and was stranded at Raquette Lake for two weeks -- inside joke) really know a few things about survival. But in case you're also mesmerized by the CBS reality-based TV show Survivor (I am), you should know we have a local gal as one of the 16 survivors on Survivor II -- the Outback, to be launched right after the Super Bowl on Jan. 28. She's Kimberly Kappenberg, a Burdett native. (Hey, Burdett is a perfect place to breed a survivor; I spent every Sunday afternoon there until I was 18]

Kimberly's parents still live in Burdett on Rt. 414. She'll be known as Kimmee on the TV show. We don't know how she does, but let's root for her to get the million.
