Um, T-shirts and stuff
Give Away Your T-shirts
The Triple Cities Runners Club, which collects new, old, unwanted, ugly-logo, reasonably clean and "I have no place to put them" race T-shirts for Catholic Charities of the Southern Tier, is in desperate need of a new supply. Mary Ann Thompson of TCRC collects donations at all TCRC events and gives them to the charity for the needy folks in the area. The T-shirts are handled with care, cleaned and distributed to people who really could use the clothes. They also need toiletries as well, especially those samples you bring home from hotels or the department store. Put them in a ziploc bag for donations.
If you're heading to a TCRC event (Forks XV is coming up in March), please sort through your piles and give away a few. If you don't go to their races, ask someone from FLRC who does to take them down for you. Thank you!
But This T-Shirt's A Keeper
Congratulations to Marathon High School & coaching staff (Todd James & Co.). Their Marathon Cross Country Invitational T-shirt won one of four Runner's World's awards for Best in Show. See the RW issue Feb. 2001, pg. 62. The T-shirt was designed by Brent Reilly, of Graph-Tex. The T-shirt was distributed to high school harriers in Section IV.
