Sing along with the following favorites for folks we all know and love who recently topped some national charts:

"When I'm Sixty-Four":

No, not the Beatles song. We're talking about Margret Betz of Conklin. She set a F64 single-age record at the Stockade-athon 15K (1:09:24)! in Schenectady. The March 2001 issue of Running Times also names Margret 3rd-best F60-64 U.S. masters runner of the year, behind Barbara Miller of Calif., (Miller ran a 3:11 Boston Marathon -- gasp!) and Yvette Lavigne of Calif. (a relative of Regina Jacobs). Margret's listed times are as follows: (let's see you do it!): 5K, 21:24; 5K, 21:30; 15K, 1:09:56; 15K, 1:10:30 (also see above); 1 mile, 6:21.

"These Boots are Made for Walkin":

Jim Miner of Dryden is the 2001 Niagara Association of USATF 3,000-meter race walk indoor champion (15:47.20).

"Jumpin' Jack Flash":

Chris Petry of Trumansburg High School is the 2001 Niagara Association high jump (6 feet 4") and long jump (19 feet 21/2") indoor champion.

"The Long & Winding Road":

We told you last month that John Geesler of St. Johnsville (& our trail network) won the USATF 24-hour National Championship, completing 254, 200 meters (157.95 miles). What we didn't know then was that it's a M40-44 American record!

"I Am Woman":
