FLRC Scholarship News
Some generous FLRC members already have contributed to our new scholarship fund via membership renewal forms -- thank you everyone! But we received a major boost from long time FLRC/trail stonehead David Weiss of Corning, who does not, by the way, want any attention or credit for his generosity. But I'm going to tell you anyway. Dave and his family donated $100 to honor the memory of the wonderful Bob Bridgman of Mansfield, Pa., who died last October after an accidental fall from a ladder. Bob ran races every weekend, and came to FLRC events every chance he could make the trip here with friends. Bob always had uplifting things to say to all of us, and we miss him.
"I don't need to describe Bob's support for running in the area, and I think that this donation is a good way to honor his name," said Weiss. As requested, we'll specify Bridgman's name when we give the award. If any of you want to do the same for someone else, please let us know.
Again, many thanks to Dave Weiss. Those of us who knew and loved Bob B. are overjoyed!
