Not Quite Marathons...

Nov 4: The 12th annual Canandaigua Elks Run 15K. This one benefits Mercy Flight Central. It starts at 9 a.m. at the Elks Club near Main Street and takes you through town and out into "the beautiful rolling countryside of Ontario County" (and it really is!) $15 pre-registration, $20 day of race. Nov. 5: The 20th annual Red Baron Half Marathon. It begins high atop Spencer Hill on the Corning Community College campus and finishes at the Corning YMCA (next door to Corning Inc.). Yes, it's the 20th anniversary and I bet some of you didn't even know it existed. The first 5 miles are rolling; miles 5-11 are downhill and the final two are on the flats.
