Training Ops For Tracksters
Beginning June 26 to July 27, a Trumansburg Summer Training Camp will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., each Monday and Thursday evening at the high school track. The camp is open to track and field specialists -- or any athlete looking to stay in shape -- ages 7th grade to adult. The cost is $25 if you are a T-burg resident; $30 for Ulysses Town residents; and $35 for anyone outside those locations. For information, call Bryce DeSantis, at 387-7551, ext. 405, at the Trumansburg Middle School.
In addition to the camp, Trumansburg will host a series of summer all-comers track and field meets, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., each Wednesday evening, from June 28-July 26. The meets are open to incoming 4th graders through adults. The series fee structure is the same as the track camp, but you also can opt to pay $5 per meet.
For details, contact Jack Reed, Trumansburg Middle School, 100 Whig St., Trumansburg, N.Y. 14886.
