The 19th annual Wineglass Marathon & Team Relay is set for Oct. 1 at 9 a.m.: Bath to Corning. Entries are out and about; look for the beautiful artwork on the entry brochure, or click on www.WineglassMarathon.com

New this year: you can register online and save $5; and race organizers are using the ChampionChip timing system for both marathoners and relay runners. There's prize money for open and masters; no guest celebrities in 2000.

If you register by Sept. 15, the marathon fee is $45; the relay fee per person is $45 (3 x $45 for the full team). You can save money by online sign ups and bringing your own chip. Fees rise after Sept. 15, so wake up. Bill Taylor says about 100 have signed up so far via web.
