Stunning Performances by Molly Huddle at FLRC Indoor Track Meet
Jan 06 2002

Molly Huddle's double whammy at the January indoor track meet were the two fastest times turned in by a U.S. high school girl this indoor season, this according to John Dye, of dyestat.com, the national record keeper/authority of such performances. In case you missed it, Molly won the 2-miler outright in 10:19.8, and finished the mile in 4:56.9 -- all in one day's work. And, this from a girl who is playing basketball this season, not running indoor track officially.

Molly, 17, is a high school senior in Elmira, New York.

John Dye's website lists Molly's performance on the front page, and includes a longer story as well.

Local runner Adam Engst contributed this story about racing against Molly in the mile.
