Other Business:

It was decided to take no action on the issue of childcare at our races. We clearly cannot provide this service but we see no reason, at this time, to declare that we will not provide this service.

Tim gave an update on the Trail Running Camp scholarship. Linnie Wieselquist is the winner but she will postpone the offer until next season.

Joe Dabes asked whether we should send a representative to the meeting of the NYS Trails Council. Karen, Lorrie and Joe Reynolds were interested.

Dan Graybeal and Diane Yates presented a proposal to supplement and coordinate with our Put the Shoe on the Other Foot program. They proposed a recycling program to take care of old worn out shoes. Nike has such a program but with only 25 depots (closest one to us is Utica). They wish to link to the Nike program and seek permitting and work through the Tompkins County Solid Waste Authority for storage, etc. Drop-off points might be shoe stores and sporting good stores. Jim Bisogni moved that we endorse the proposal , Joe Reynolds seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:15
