July Outdoor Track Meet: No report

Finances:
Lorrie reported for John Sholeen that the checking account is $ 6303.70 and the scholarship fund is at $2945.49. Our money market investment is $6355.39.

Lorrie raised the question whether we should continue our yearly contribution to the Ithaca United Track club given that the mission of the club has changed to a more competitive nature. Jim Miner moved and Tom seconded a motion to cease our yearly contribution and encourage Ithaca United to use our Scholarship program to help those in the Club that require financial assistance to pursue their running activities. The motion passed unanimously.

Newsletter:
Diane reported that the July newsletter was in progress. She thanked Tom for a great profile.

Membership:
Lorrie is temporarily acting as membership chair until a replacement for John Beach can be found. She had no report.

Club Historian:
No report.

Web Page:
Tom reported that the new Club website is up and running. The new URL is "fingerlakesrunners.org". The annual fee is $120 and we need to pay $60 for the URL (good for 2 years). The new website has many more features than our old website. Tom showed some examples of the topographic mapping program that we recently purchased. This included 2-D, 3-D and profile maps.

Equipment:
Jim Miner reminded race directors that they should instruct volunteers how to properly use the Seiko timers.

VP Reports:

Trails: No report

Track: No report

Roads: No report

Other Business:
Jeff reported about 10 people participated in the Ithaca Festival parade and that he hopes to continue participating in coming years.

Sue reported that she is still investigating Club singlets.

Lorrie reported that National Running Center is requiring that we submit to them a list of race registrants mailing addresses in order for them to sell at the 5 &10. It was generally agreed that we should not give out these addresses so we will discontinue our association with the National Running Center.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:54 PM.
