Race Reports:

Skunk Cabbage: Yvette reported that the Skunk Cabbage was a success. The total number of finishers for both races was 362. This was down slightly from last year (426). Yvette suggested that better publicity may have helped numbers. The race netted $1180.30. Yvette is going to add a Clydesdale division and new age groups for older runners.

Triennial Trail Relay: Joe Dabes reported that the race was a little chaotic, but that it was a good race and that the handicap system seemed to be effective.

Upcoming Races:

Ithaca Twilight: Alan reported for Todd Mattison. Alan moved that the Twilight and the Filmore race be included in the "Ithaca 5K race series". The motion was seconded by Joe Reynolds. The Club will incur no additional charges by this association. The motion passes unanimously.

Tom Bugliosi Trail Runs: Tessa reported that there will be a charge per runner from the Cayuga Nature Center. These charges will increase next year. As always, volunteers are needed.

Summer Evening Track Series: Tim discussed the option of adding a steeplechase event one of the races. Club insurance will cover steeplechase events.

Rec-Way 10K: Jeff reported that permits have been obtained and some volunteers have been lined up. There will be a small change in the course.

Tortoise and Hare: Jen reported that some volunteers and food have been offered. She mentioned that a fee will be charged for the Buttermilk parking area. More volunteers are needed.

Ithaca 5 & 10: Lorrie reported that all the sponsors (Cayuga Med Center, Stop DWI and The Finger Lakes Massage School) have been secured. A new course needs to be certified because of a bridge that will be out of service during the race. Lorrie is also checking out hiring an outside timing and results group for this race.

Hartshorne Memorial Award:
Diane announced that there was a tie for the award this year. The winners are Rick Hoebeke and Tim Ingall.

Finances:
John Sholeen reported that the Club checking account has a balance of $4967, the scholarship fund was at $1560 and our long term investment was at $6600.

Web Page:

Other business: Diane raised the issue of advertising training runs for trail races on the listserv without due warning about the perils of getting lost, hurt or left behind.
