Minutes of FLRC Executive Board Meeting

January 11, 2006

Present: Lorrie Tily, Don Tily, Jim Bisogni, Diane Sherrer, Casey Carlstrom, Steve Shaum, Nancy Kleinrock, Sue Aigen, Chris Reynolds, Joe Reynolds, Karen Grover, Alan Lockett, Jim Miner, PJ Peterman, Tim Ingall, John Dailey Jr., Tomás Larsson, Diane Yates, Katie Danner, Jim Strehle, Mark Thompson and Jeffrey Juran.

Minutes from previous meeting approved as is.

Race Reports:

There were no race reports.

Upcoming Races:

• Jan & Feb Track Meet - Tim Ingall reported no issues
• Hartshorne Memorial Masters Mile - Diane Sherrer reported that a good field of runners is anticipated
• Finger Lakes Snowshoe Race - Joe Reynolds reported the trail was cleared, no concerns

2006 Board Members Elections: Jim Bisogni reported tally from 44 ballots received which supported listed candidates with 3 write-ins.

Re-elected board members are:

• Alan Lockett: Ex-VP
• Chris Irving: Treasurer
• Joe Reynolds: VP Trails
• Don Tily: member-at large
• Tim Ingall: VP track
• Jim Miner: VP Roads

New board members are:

• John Dailey, Jr.: member-at-large
• Steve Shaum & Nancy Kleinrock: co-presidents
• Tomás Larsson: member-at-large
• Mark Thompson: secretary
• Bob Talda: member-at-large

New race directors are:

• Katie Danner: co-director Finger Lakes 50s
• Diane Yates and Karen Grover: co-directors Ithaca 5&10

Gift presentations: Lorrie Tily and Jim Bisogni both received eye-catching road runners made out of driftwood with many thanks for their years of service.

Additional Comments & Concerns with 2006 elections: Alan Lockett read a letter from a club member unsatisfied with election proceedings. Joe Reynolds then read a very passionate personal letter to the board regarding the election proceedings and his feelings toward Steve and Nancy. General discussion followed.

Nike reuse a shoe program concerns: Jim Strehle expressed concern that club funds not be used excessively to store & transport shoes to the Utica Nike Regional collection center. Diane Yates then updated us fully on possible future cooperation of Solid Waste Management. Transportation needs are currently met for current volume of shoe donations. Periodic updates by Diane will be made as the program evolves.
